Patit puneet pavittar kardai ikko ik eh naam tera;
Than nithanvein nun hai mildi uchcha suchcha dhaam tera. Jisda vairi hai jag sara ohda hain rakhwara tun; Deen dukhi te badkismat da ikko ik sahara tun. Jis te nazar suvalli kar dayein vare nyare ho jande ne; Avtar mile je naam sahara apne sare ho jande ne. |

O' God, the guilty gets purified only by Thy Name;
The shelters finds shelter only at Thy Abode, the highest and the holiest. Thou art the sole savior of the one to whom everybody in this world is inimical; Thou art the sole support of the one who is poor, distressed and unfortunate. The one who receives Thy merciful look, turns prosperous; Avtar says, if one gets the solace of Divine Name, all the people of the world become his own. |
Meaning
Those who are alone, He is there for them. All who are guilty of wrong doings, get purified by HIS name. He gives shelter to those who don't have any. His shelter is the highest and holiest. He is the only support of the one who is poor, distressed and unfortunate. The one who receives His merciful look, turns prosperous. Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, if one takes the help of the Divine Name, all the people of the world become his own.
